我校20招收硕士研究生将按照“推荐免试”和“报名考试”两种方式录取。
一、推荐免试
2014年我校将按照教育部研究生招生工作的规定，通过“推荐免试”方式接收全国重点大学优秀应届本科毕业生入学。含学术型硕士生、专业学位硕士生、硕博连读生以及“直博生”(拟录取的“直博生”按我校博士生报名办法办理报名手续，招生人数见博士生招生专业目录)。具体办法如下：
(一)、基本条件
1、拥护中国共产党的领导，愿为社会主义现代化建设服务，品德良好，遵纪守法;
2、获得所在学校推荐免试资格的全国重点大学优秀应届本科毕业生。
(二)、申请材料
1、北京大学2014年接收推荐免试攻读研究生申请表(下载)2份;
2、北京大学2014年接收推荐免试攻读研究生个人陈述(下载)1份;
3、北京大学2014年接收推荐免试攻读研究生专家推荐信(下载)3封，即需要3位专家分别推荐，且密封并在封口骑缝处签字;
4、本科阶段成绩单1份，加盖学校教务处公章后，装入自备信封密封，并在封口骑缝处加盖教务处公章;
5、获奖证书复印件各1份;
6、国家英语四、六级考试成绩、或TOEFL成绩、或IELTS成绩、或GRE成绩等体现自身英语水平的证明1份;

9、通过北京大学推荐免试研究生网上申报系统打印的，北京大学2014年接收推荐免试攻读研究生申请信息表1份。
此外，申请人还可提交体现自身学术水平的代表性学术论文、出版物或原创性工作成果。
北京大学本校应届本科毕业生申请攻读本系研究生须提交如上1、2、6、9三项各一份，外校同学及本校跨院系申请的同学须向所申请院系研究生教务办公室提交以上全部申请材料。
(三)、申请办法
1、提交申请材料
(1)有意者请访问北大研究生院网页(grs.pku.edu.cn/zsxx/sszs/tjms/)或北京大学研究生招生网，查阅招生专业目录、下载申请表格。并于9月20日之前，将填好的全部申请材料(统一使用A4纸)装入自备的信封，直接寄(或送)达所报考的学院(系、所、中心)研究生教务办公室，邮政编码为100871。过期不再接受申请。全部申请材料一经收到，恕不退还。申请材料中，正式成绩单以及具有学校推荐免试资格的证明信(如确有困难)可延至月上旬补交。
(2)申请免试我校接收优秀应届本科毕业生攻读专业学位的同学，请按照相关专业的招生简章和选拔办法申请。
(3)为做好推荐免试研究生基本信息的采集工作，我校将开通北京大学2014年推荐免试研究生网上申报系统(网址：yjsy.pku.edu.cn:8080/students)。申请推荐免试研究生的同学，还要登录网上申报系统提交本人的基本信息并打印申请信息表。具体安排请见网站的有关通知。
(4)申请免试攻读我校医学部下属各院系免试生的同学，请将相关材料直接寄往北京大学医学部研究生招生办公室，地址为北京市海淀区学院路38号，邮政编码为100083，联系电话为(010)82802338。
2、经各学院(系、所、中心)招生委员会对申请材料初审后，将于年9月下旬之前，通知通过初审的申请人来参加差额复试。
3、通过复试并同意接收的外校推荐免试硕士生，还须持我校的接收函，到所在学校教务处(或学生处)领取省级高校招生办公室签发(加盖公章)的推荐免试硕士生报名表。
4、被我校接收为硕士生(含本科起点硕博连读生)，在2013年10月31日前凭推荐学校所在地省级教育招生考试管理机构发放的校验码，在中国研究生招生信息网(网址：yz.chsi.com.cn/)上填写报名信息并进行现场确认，未办理正式报名手续的同学不能录取。
被我校接收为本科起点直博生，不参加中国研究生招生信息网的网上报名，参加我校博士研究生招生网上报名，具体要求请见北京大学 2014年招收攻读博士学位研究生网上报名公告(网址：grs.pku.edu.cn/zsxx/bszs/bobmxx/)。
(四)、初取公示
申请人必须保证提交的申请表和其它全部申请材料的真实性和准确性。我校将在复试结束后在10月中下旬对拟初取免试研究生进行网上公示，届时考生可在我校研究生院或各院系网页查阅相关信息。如果申请人提交的信息不真实或不准确，我校将取消申请人免试资格。
(五)、资格复审及录取
在发出录取通知书之前，将对获得初取资格的免试生，按以下要求进行资格复审，通过者方可被录取，未通过者，将被取消录取资格，由学生所在学校本科教务部门按本科学籍管理规定办理相应手续。
1、完成本科培养方案规定的所有课程及实践环节(含毕业论文或实习)的学分要求;
2、毕业论文或实习成绩应在“良”以上;
3、取得初取资格后，本科必修、限选及公选课程不得出现不及格;
4、自取得初取资格至入学报到之日未受过任何处分。
二、报名考试
(一)、报考条件
报名参加全国统一考试，须符合下列条件：
1、拥护中国共产党的领导，愿为社会主义现代化建设服务，品德良好，遵纪守法;
2、考生的学历必须符合下列条件之一：
(1)国家承认学历的应届本科毕业生，一般应有学士学位;
(2)具有国家承认的大学本科毕业学历的人员(自考本科生和网络教育本科生须在报名现场确认截止日期(2013年11月14日)前取得国家承认的大学本科毕业证书方可报考)，一般应有学士学位;
(3)已获硕士学位或博士学位的人员;
(4)获得国家承认的高职高专毕业学历后满2年(从毕业后到2014年9月1日)或2年以上 ，达到与大学本科毕业生同等学力的人员(只能以同等学力资格报考);
(5)国家承认学历的本科结业生和成人高校(含普通高校举办的'成人高等学历教育)应届本科毕业生，按本科毕业生同等学力身份报考;
3、以同等学力资格报考的考生，须在国家核心期刊上发表一篇以上与所报考专业相关的学术论文(署名前2位)，通过初试后，须加试两门本科专业基础课，部分专业还将加试实验等科目;
4、身体健康状况符合规定的体检标准。

(二)、报名办法
1、招生院系、专业、研究方向、考试科目、招生人数及相关说明请见招生专业目录。
2、考生报名前应仔细核对本人是否符合报考条件，报考考生的资格审查将在复试阶段进行，凡不符合报考条件的考生将不予录取，相关后果由考生本人承担。
3、报名采取网上提交报考信息的方式。具体要求请于9月下旬起见中国研究生招生信息网(网址：yz.chsi.com.cn/)的相关公告或通知。
4、报名费：按北京教育考试院规定收取。
(三)、初试时间
初试时间为2014年1月4日至5日，具体以教育部公布的安排为准。
(四)、复试安排
复试时间一般在3月下旬，具体说明如下：
1、参加初试并获得复试资格的考生，应在复试前到北大研究生院网页下载相关表格，按规定时间提供可以证明自身研究潜能的各种材料，包括攻读研究生阶段的研究计划、学校正式成绩单、科研成果等。
2、报考考生的资格审查将在复试阶段进行。
3、我校采取笔试、口试或两者相兼的方式进行差额复试，以进一步考察学生的专业基础、综合分析能力、解决实际问题的能力和动手能力等。
