春节的英文单词

春节在英文里的地道表达是什么？最常见的两个是：Spring Festival 和 Chinese New Year. 这两个严格来讲，其实都是正确的。Spring Festival采用的是字面翻译法，即春天的节日; Chinese New Year则是中国的新年。因为1月1日是New Year. 而春节是中国特色的新年，所以加了一个民族属性：Chinese. 但是如果两者非要选一个，建议选取Chinese New Year,这样会有更多的老外能理解。因为Spring Festival比较字面，生活在中国的老外，或者对中国稍有了解的老外会知道Spring Festival表示的是春节；而很多对中国一无所知的老外可能会以为Spring Festival 是‘春天的某个节日’......所以在中国接地气一点，可以说：Happy Spring Festival. 如果想要‘安全’一点，国际化一点，可以说：Happy Chinese New Year.
