There is no same opinion among people as to the view of wealth. Some people may think that wealth is the most important and powerful thing in life, while some other people believe that there are many things that cannot be bought with wealth.
As far as I am concerned, I agree with the latter opinion. There’s an old proverb, “Money can cure hunger, but it can’t cure happiness” which simply means wealth can buy us some material things but cannot make us happy and free from sadness or worries. In fact, happiness, true love, friendship, time, health and so on are the most valuable things in the world and can never ever be bought with money. Those who just try their best to make money can’t realize the true meaning of life and will be the slaves for money. They can’t enjoy happiness, for they have lost everything, time, relatives, love except money. Then, what can money do? No one will share the happy moment with them.
So, I think, money is not at all powerful while happiness is more important. If we always have happiness, we’ll never give up the belief to life.

All these will bring about the negative effect of wealth if we don’t take a proper attitude to it.
In my opinion, on no account can we identify wealth with happiness. I also believe that one should never reckon only on wealth to achieve happiness .

星期天，我们家开展了一次“家庭厨艺大赛”的活动。爸爸妈妈各自担任两方的选手，而我，则做为本次比赛的裁判。
一切准备到位后，比赛就要开始了，一旁的爸爸妈妈也早已跃跃欲试了。“开始!”随着我一声令下，双方便都开始忙碌起来，锅碗瓢盆的声音“乒乒乓乓”地响起来，宛如一支交响乐。“选手们请听好!”我双手背后，在地板上反复踱步，故意提高了嗓音，装作一个小大人，“本次比赛主要关于爸爸妈妈两位选手的‘厨师王’之争，两人各选一个拿手菜来做，做好后由本评审品尝，决定谁是本次的‘厨师王’。但前提是要在30分钟内完成，如果搞破坏直接取消资格!”
爸爸做得是“酸菜鱼”。只见他先将鱼肉放入碗中，辣椒等调味料拌好放在一边。又将鱼骨头和酸菜炒好后，将鱼肉放入锅里煮……很快一道美味的“酸菜鱼”就做好了，可真是色、香、味俱全呀!
妈妈正在做“蛋黄南瓜”的配料。要知道，这道菜的重点在配料上，若是配料没做好，那这道菜就做失败了。只见妈妈将咸鸭蛋黄挑出，放入糖、盐、味精等调味料拌好放在一起。又将早已切好条状的.南瓜放入锅里炸，当南瓜呈金黄色时将它捞出，最后将配料洒上去。一道香喷喷的“蛋黄南瓜”就做好了，一阵阵香味扑鼻而来，我早就垂涎欲滴了。
30分钟很快就到了，爸爸妈妈的两道菜也都做好了。我先品尝爸爸的酸菜鱼我夹起一块白白的鱼肉放入嘴中，顿时感觉滑溜溜的，酸酸辣辣让人胃口大开忍不住再吃一块。接下来品尝的是妈妈的蛋黄南瓜，我夹入一块放入口中，先感受的是配料咸鸭蛋黄独有的咸咸的味道，紧接着是南瓜脆脆的外壳带来的香味……“那么谁是本次的‘厨师王’呢?”妈妈显得有点迫不及待了。我用手托着下巴闭上眼想了一会，最终得出了一个合理的答案。
“我宣布，本次的‘厨师王’是——”我拉长了声音，这一刻，仿佛我们周围的空气都凝结住了。爸爸妈妈的眼睛紧紧盯着我的嘴巴，“爸爸和妈妈!”话音刚落，周围的空气便又活跃起来，爸爸妈妈也松了一口气，紧接着的是一阵爽朗的笑声。
我们家虽然没有别人家的物质财富，却有一笔独特的财富，那就是——幸福!
