开宗明义，概念先行。根据商务印书馆出版的第五版《现代汉语词典》1735页的解释，征婚，即公开征求结婚对象。顾名思义，电视征婚就是利用电视这一媒介作为平台，公开征求结婚对象的一种节目形式。
在此基础上我们需要明确一个前提，随着电视征婚这一节目形式的出现，应运而生的弊端我方不予以否认，如节目内容低俗化、节目嘉宾虚假化甚至舆-论导向不正确。但是，以上弊端均是由于节目编导的专业素养不够或者节目定位不当而造成，并非电视征婚本身这一节目形式所带来的。所以希望对方辩友在接下来的辩论中不要就这一问题大做文章混淆视听。
同时，我方认为就电视征婚而言，衡量利弊的标准应该是，电视征婚是否有利于个人的发展，是否有利于电视台节目制作单位的发展，是否有利于社会的发展。好的，我将从以下三个方面来阐述我方观点。
