其次，要有足够的自信和不怕犯错误的精神。一个人学习兴趣再高、学习方法再好，不去开口说、不敢说还是不行。很多人问我是否学过《疯狂英语》，答案是否定的。但是据我了解，其固然有炒作、夸张的一面，但其提倡的学英语的热情和不怕犯错误的精神还是值得称道的。很多人不敢说的根本原因在于怕犯错误，被别人笑话，可事实上即使说错了，别人也不一定会笑话你。况且即使产生了错误，得到别人的纠正也会有所提高。

第三，要养成良好的发音习惯。我认为一个人英语水平的高低要看其口语水平，而口语水平在很大程度上取决于语音，包括音标的发音、语气与语调和流利程度。

1. 音标的发音。要认真找出自己与标准发音的差别，掌握正确的发声方法，尽可能地模仿标准发音。

2. 语气与语调。汉语的语调与英语有很大区别。但语气往往是感情的自然流露，在这点上语言是相通的。只有通过大量的模仿和练习才能使语气与语调和谐自然。原声电影无疑是最好的模仿对象之一。

3. 流利程度。这点无需多说，除了练习还是练习。只有养成良好的发音习惯才能更好地享受英语带来的乐趣。

然而，英语除口语外，阅读能力、写作能力也是必不可少的，其实它们之间并不矛盾，反而相辅相成。口语有利于养成良好的英语思维习惯，对阅读、写作都有帮助。适量的阅读、写作对扩大知识面、丰富口语内容也颇有益处。
