一年一度的世界地球日早已来临，可除了日历上这不显眼的五个字之外，恐怕没有多少人知道它了吧。

我们都生活在地球上，用得一切都是地球母亲赐予我们的，而现在，她已经满目疮痍，伤痕累累，而我们能为地球母亲做些什么呢？

还记得小时候，当我看见一座座楼房在建筑工人的手中陆续耸立起来时，我便抬起稚嫩的眼睛，问身旁的妈妈，“为什么要盖楼房？”妈妈蹲下身来，耐心地教导我说：“因为要节省土地面积呀！这样，田地的面积就大了呀，农民伯伯种的粮食就多了，就让你多吃点呀？”我似懂非懂地点了点头。

可我慢慢地感觉到，事实好像不像妈妈说的那样。现在在城市中甚至是很小的城市中，放眼望去，一点儿田地的影子也没有，舅舅家种的土地也因为盖房被占去了不少，写农村里，几乎没有楼房，那这件事还有什么意义呢？它已经失去了它原来的本质，土地资源正不断地减少、消失。

地理课上，老师正在讲“中东”那一课，“中东的石油资源非常丰富，是世界长期的热点地区——还要加大开采力度——主要用于出口。”现在许多较贫穷而又资源丰富的国家和地区造出资源来维持经济，而出口的资源则被其他国家毫不“吝啬”地全部利用，人们对资源的看法与审视就只能这样吗？

对于资源，特别是不可再生资源，我们要尽量少开采，保理得用。可以大力推广绿色能源，如太阳能，水能等。以太阳能为主的可再生能源潜力极大，每天太阳提供的能量是世界人口商品总消费的1.5万倍。

目前，全球农用面积约为1000平方公里。约有4000万平方公里的土地竟然为4900平方公里，比农用面积的四倍还要多！

氢能源利用自然界大量在在的水，用电解水产生氢或由太阳能光催化水分解氢。小水电与潮汐发电也可提供可观的电力。丹麦是风力发电大国，现在6300座风力发电机，提供13%的电力需求。总而言之，可再生能源的利用潜力很大，完全可满足人类社会可持续发展的能源的需求。

在社会高速发展的今天，人们的生活在不断向上，可是人们都沉浸在美好生活的今天，大家都只知道，自己与社会的未来都是前途无量的，可谁会想到地球的`未来是怎样的……人们都只顾自己的利益，却不为地球的未来着想。

到时候地球的资源都枯竭了，人类要怎么样，我们的子孙要怎样？但存方寸地留与子孙耕。我们因该保护环境。

据了解，如果把地球比作一个巨型的仓库，那么这个仓库里的资源还够人类使用多少年？为了说明地球资源的改变，《报告》使用了一个“地球生命力指数”概念。这一概念通过对2688个分布在不同生态系统和地区的哺乳动物、鸟类、爬行类、两栖类及鱼类物种中9014个种群的规模变化趋势来衡量地球上生物多样性的变化。相当于借助对物种丰富度变化的表述，衡量地球的生态状况。

这一指数显示，1970年以来，地球生命力指数下降了28%，其中热带在不到40年中下降了61%，属于地球生命力指数下跌的重灾区。“我们的生活方式过度消耗了自然资源，人们似乎认为还有另外一个地球可利用。我们使用的资源量超过了地球供给的50%。如果不改变这一趋势，这个数字会增长得更快，到2030年，即使两个地球也不能满足我们的需求。

仅仅只到2030年，两个地球已经不够满足人类的要求，那么到了以后，我们的后代，要怎样呢？

为了我们的后代，让我们行动起来，保护地球的环境，珍惜地球的资源！
