Dear _,

The human body has always intrigued me, its diverse mechanisms providing complex antibodies that recognize foreign organisms such as viruses and bacteria. It’s these organisms that are working everyday and every night to maintain and sustain the way of life we so frequently take for granted. Its adaptation to this harsh world is quite extraordinary. With the correct medical influence the body may one day be impenetrable to disease. This belief alone inspires me to take on the challenge of medicine. The body still holds many secrets yet to be discovered, this motivates me to learn about the anatomy and physiology in more detail. Not only this, but the compassion and care needed to help patients makes me strive to complete my journey to medicine. Studying the body’s systems and make up made me realize the fragility of the human body and the huge responsibility a doctor or scientist has. One missed judgment could be fatal. In my AS year I enjoyed Organic chemistry in module 3 the most as it was the most puzzling I had to piece together the answers from complex isomeric compounds to find the correct answers. Biology relates more on the anatomical and physiological side of Biomedicine. I rather enjoyed the circulatory system learning about the mammalian heart and its many fantastic uses.

Chemistry and Biology have given me a large insight into the workings of the human body.To learn the complexity of the body and apply it to a patient successfully and to see the gratitude, I would imagine, is highly satisfying in a job like this. The work I need to put in for this career is great and I shall not forget that the rewards are also very great and not only inspiring but encouraging. The greatest challenge of all lies ahead and I look forward to tackling it. I recently went to work at a Dental Surgery. The whole week was spent shadowing the dentist to observe not only his clinical skills but his people skills, how he talked with patients, the safety measures he took to make absolute safety in the surgery. This enhanced my understanding of the health profession greatly and gave me an insight to future procedures in my health career. The year before, I worked in a laboratory for AstraZeneca, a major pharmaceutical company.

The company focused on certain diseases such as obesity, diabetes and cardio inflammatory infections such as arthritis. My clinical skills were developed greatly as I learnt about a great deal of procedures and tests with agar plates, watching the results of bacteria multiplying. Throughout my time at AstraZeneca I frequently asked questions about a medical career and how the company’s involvement fits into the career. I talked to professors, doctors, PhD academics and team leaders gaining useful facts about medicines and clinical skills. They explained procedures for sterilization and how to prevent cross infections by explaining safety measures. Recently I have applied for a full first aid course with a company called Envico (November). My medical skills will be improved greatly as the course covers the basics on treatment to minor and a few major injuries. In December I will be attending a course at Imperial College, London. The course will provide a vital in sight to a career in health sciences as I will be taking part in lectures giving detailed explanations. In my own time I keep up to date with medical developments, I read the ‘New Scientist’ which I find to be very interesting at times. I am applying to my local hospital for voluntary work for more experience. I will be working one day a week shadowing doctors and watching different procedures that they go through. My subjects related to medicine are chemistry and biology. Both requiring me to maintain and hold a lot of information and apply it to complex questions.I look forward to studying at degree level and I am committed to a career that improves the health of others.

Yours sincerely,

Dear xx,

In my undergraduate program,I received education across two fields―adegree program in law at the Law School of xx University and a degree program inpsychology at xx University. My rigorous academic trainings across those twofields have given me necessary qualifications for pursuing a more advancedprogram either in psychology or in law, endowing me with a unique advantage ininterdisciplinary knowledge.

As far as I am concerned, law and psychology are reciprocal. They allpertain to human behavior. As a matter of fact,my thesis in law, entitled “ xx”explores juvenile delinquency by examining the complicated psychological factorsof the younger generation of China in family, school and neighborhood settings. However, there are essential differences between them. In terms of the causalrelationships of human behavior, law is primarily concerned with the treatmentof the consequences of human behavior while psychology probes into themotivations that cause people to act as they do. In the framework of humanrelations, law aims at orderly and well-regulated social relationship whilepsychology, with its interventions into the process of human development, seeksto facilitate the healthy development of the individuals.

While law and psychology are both indispensable to the proper functioningof our society, when it comes to making a choice between those two fields inwhich to pursue a graduate program,I decide to opt for a program inDevelopmental Psychology. My decision is motivated by the fact that law can onlydeal with the aftermath of human behavior whereas psychology can providepreventive measures against possible negative human behavior. Child &adolescent psychology,a field I am interested in,may facilitate thedevelopment of healthy personality structure that may enable children andadolescents interact with the society in a harmonious manner.

I have received sound academic trainings that a student of psychology canexpect in China, excelling particularly in Developmental Psychology,CognitivePsychology,Experimental Psychology and other core courses, all of which haveimparted to me the necessary theoretical knowledge. My 87/100 GPA in Psychologyhas made me the top student in my class and the winner of a series of theuniversity's top-level scholarships. As an undergraduate,I have attempted atsome tentative research by submitting essays and research papers toprovincial-level and university-level journals (please refer to my Resume)。 Inperforming those researches,I find that I have benefited considerably from mysolid mathematics foundation and the related methodology―my score for theAdvanced Mathematics course is 98/100 while the SPSS was nearly full mark. Ihave mastered important statistical and quantitative methods, computerprogramming and LISREL with much facility and I excel in designing experimentsand preparing questionnaires.

I started to perform formal academic research at the DevelopmentalPsychology Lab in xx University two years by working as a research assistant toProf. xx,a leading Chinese scholar on social development in childhood andadolescence and peer relations. By focusing on the peer relations, socialcognition, social self-concept,attributions,and past social experiences,Icompleted a full-length research paper xx,which became a poster presentation atthe xx. My research indicates that in addition to maintaining an appropriatelevel of social self-concept and optimistic attributional style,it isessentially worthwhile to emphasize another two strategies to improve thepositive peer nominations:to pay special attention to the attributions tonegative events of the life, and to attribute social popularity or success tosome stable causes. Based on my distinguished academic performance,I attendedthe xx and the xx.

Off campus,I have worked as a social worker offering psychologicalconsulting for the “No Worry Teenagers” column for the authoritative journal xx,dealing with the problems concerning interpersonal relations and socialcognition of adolescents and young adults. This experience allowed me to gaininsight into many important aspects of the mental lives of this group of peoplebeyond the mere statistical data. However,it is a regret that my knowledge isinsufficient to offer adequate consulting service to my audience of such diversebackgrounds. This fact reveals to me the need to undertake more advanced studiesto improve my professional competence.

I am strongly interested in the developmental psychology of adolescentsbecause by helping adolescents build up a healthy psychology that may enablethem to successfully integrate into the competitive world of adults, hence fewersocial problems could be created. In my proposed program,I would like toconcentrate on the following subjects:social cognitive and social-emotionaldevelopment in childhood and adolescence; peer relations and family relationsand their influence on development; resilience in high risk settings;development of self-esteem; gender differences and similarities, and researchmethods. The University of xx's graduate education is very strong in thosefields. Your faculty consists of distinguished professors who come from leadinguniversities and have made important research achievements. Your program offersstudents a total of 14 labs, among which Multiple Identities and InterpersonalInteractions Lab is most relevant to my study. I expect that your Ph.D. programcan give me instruction in the fundamental theories and knowledge ofdevelopmental psychology and also give me rigorous training in planning, conducting and evaluating research. I would like to identify Prof.xx as mypotential advisor, whose research interests covers a wide spectrum, includingmost of the fields I am interested in.

To me,psychology means care, psychological research is to find out how tocare and psychological service is to offer the care. My career objective is todevelop into a research-oriented professor who can perform substantial researchon adolescent psychology. I will study those features of psychology that Chineseadolescents share with their xx counterparts as China is under heavy influencesof xx culture. But I would also examine the role of traditional Chinese culturein shaping the psychology of Chinese adolescents. Apart from my professionalactivities,I will continue to offer voluntary,non-profit consulting servicesto those who are in need. Adolescent psychological consulting is only of recentorigin and much is to be improved. My prospective xx education will enable me tomake important contributions in this regard.

Yours sincerely,

xxx

1)欲研究的方向;

3)申请人的学术或专业兴趣及背景;

1.入学志愿书;

2.财政担保人在职及收入证明书(有营业执照并加盖公章较好,而且月收入不得少于5000元人民币);

2.邀请函、签证颁发的许可书等签证申请文件的有效期为3个月;如果申请人已拿到这类申请文件的原件就必须递交原件,如果只拿到了签证发给的编号也可以用编号进行申请;

3.申请人在申请签证时如有部分资料未来得及准备的前提下,递交时可以说明会在事后补充;申请人也可以按照接受窗口所标明的内容,准备好材料后重新递交材料;无需重新预约;

4.补充材料需要直接在窗口递交,建议不要通过传真发送,以防发生收不到或丢失的情况;

Dear _,

I am a student, graduated from BaoYang middle school, Nanning, GuangXi autonomous region, in 20_. I am still studying in high school now, because I was not enrolled by the ideal university last year. Recently, I have a dream to study abroad. Then I search online and find that it is more convenient and suitable for me to go to New Zealand for study.

First, New Zealand is a multicultural country, which has the most advanced education in the world. Second, the tuition is lower than other countries’, which I think is mo

re reasonable for me. Finally, the climate of New Zealand is similar with the climate of the South of China. Considering above reasons, I told my parents my plan on going to New Zealand for study, and my parent agreed with me.

As a girl, I like preschool education since I was young. Nowadays, Chinese parents, who want their children to get better education, pay more attention to preschool education. If I study specialized curriculums on preschool education, I will go back China and work hard on preschool education after leaving college.

My plan is as follows: first, I plan to study English in language institute for about a half year in New Zealand. Then, I will study specialized curriculums on preschool education.

I believe I have the ability of study abroad, because I have finished all high school curriculums. Besides, my parents both have job and have rich income, so they will support me to finish my study. After finishing my study, I will return to my homeland and work on preschool education, so as to realize my life value.

Yours sincerely,

Dear _,

In a world that is continually growing and evolving and problems such as global warming and population growth becoming ever more real, the need for innovation and fresh ideas from the engineering world becomes increasingly evident. It is this that attracts me to civil engineering as a career because although I am aware of the many pressures and demands I would be facing, the sense of achievement and the knowledge that I would be making a difference to the lives of others would be of great personal reward to me!

My fascination for engineering started when I was young, and has only increased since then. I enjoyed playing video and computer games that required planning and strategy. I watched ???Extreme Engineering??? when it first aired on the Discovery channel and today I have seen every episode up to season five and am waiting to see the sixth season. I have a game called ???West Point Bridge designer??? that has taught me about the different properties of each type of bridge and allows me to experiment with different bridge designs as well as using different materials in the most cost effective way possible.

Unfortunately for my parents, this fascination extended into reverse engineering as well and ranged from my toys as a child to unused household items and broken cars and motorcycles as an adolescent. This interest was then nurtured during my schooling and college years - at school learning about the history of art and how the smallest engineering discoveries led to the biggest architectural breakthroughs, for instance the impact that the arch, concrete and the dome had on Ancient Roman and proceeding architecture. In college I thoroughly enjoyed mathematics and physics particularly in the applied sections, and although my grades do not reflect this, a big portion of my gap year has already been spent on preparation towards of their improvement.

As well as a lot of revision, my gap year so far has been a wealth of new experiences and challenges from things as silly as learning to juggle and ride a unicycle to teaching myself to play the keyboard and getting my motorcycle license. I also had a job as a general labourer working under the site manager on a building site where I worked alongside the tradesmen and occasionally the architect, thereby gaining valuable experience in keeping to the strict requirements of working to time schedules and regulations, planning, problem solving and keeping quality of work up and expenses down. Previous to that I worked at my local supermarket as a general assistant and was eventually promoted to a team leader. I was responsible for liaising with my managers and keeping them up to date with what was happening around the store and making sure my staff knew what was expected of them throughout their shifts as well as doing my own work around the store. This taught me how to deal with people in a variety of situations in a polite and professional manner while also greatly improving my communicational and social skills.

Being born and raised in South Africa and having made the transition and adaptation to English culture and way of life with ease, I have no doubt I would adapt in much the same way to university life. Also I think it is important that I have witnessed the differences in infrastructure between developed and third world countries and their respective effects on the surrounding populations and feel I could use this knowledge to my advantage.

I am a very active person and sport has always been a big part of my life. In high school I captained my cricket and rugby teams and was part of the swimming, tennis and athletics teams and represented my home province in cricket, athletics and surfing. Living over here I am a member of the local cricket and rugby club; I take part in the occasional darts and pool tournaments and am a regular at the local health centre. All of this means I have a lot of experience in performing under pressure, pushing myself and working well as a team.

By the end of my gap year I hope to have: fulfilled my travelling plans where I hope to go backpacking in Asia as I think it will be an awe-inspiring and eye opening experience; have learnt many more new skills and gained more relevant work experience; and hopefully begin a journey into becoming a part of the great and prolific industry of ingenuity and creativity that is the world of engineering.

Yours sincerely,

What excites me about archaeology is the excitement and anticipation from finding those missing pieces of the jigsaw that make up our past. My earliest recollection of archaeology was from 10 years ago when my parents took me on holiday to the Greek island of Kos and whilst there, we visited the Asklepion ruins, and I was amazed by what had remained from Greek times. Being told this place was thousands of years old and that people had worked and lived there fascinated me, and from that moment on I wanted to find out more about how it was possible to discover so much about the past. This began my passion for archaeology. My interest has been further fuelled as I visited numerous other archaeological sites and historical areas over the years, such as the Hardknott Pass Roman Fort. I find it incredible that, by using archaeology and examining even the smallest fragments, the nature of each building can be determined, when there is only a shallow wall visible above the ground.

In particular, I’m most interested in the “hands-on” aspect of archaeology, the digging and discovering of artifacts. Additionally I’m really looking forward to being out in the field and being able to travel and discover the secrets of different places. To increase my knowledge I have read a number of books but my favourites are, ‘Britain AD’ and ‘Britain BC’ by Francis Pryor and ‘Techniques of Archaeological Excavation’ by Philip Barker. It is my ambition to continue my higher education to get a Masters or a PhD, ultimately to become a university lecturer or museum curator.

Most Saturdays, I am a volunteer worker at Flag Fen, Britain’s Bronze Age Centre. Based in the Heritage Centre, my responsibilities have included explaining the site and its history to visitors, and I’m currently involved with the archiving of site’s photo’s and artifacts.

At my secondary school I achieved the Junior Sports Leadership Award from the teaching of team games to children of a local Primary School and I was chosen to be a school prefect. I was part of my school’s netball, hockey and athletics team and participated in various inter house competitions. Whilst at 6th Form I have become my tutor group’s student voice representative on the school council and I also spend some of my lunchtimes supervising younger pupils. I am also currently part of team for promoting Lincolnshire to the younger generation and the Team for Promoting Road Safety. I have also been part of the Grammar School Ladies Rugby Team since joining the school.

Aside from my studies and school activities I have strong interests in reading, sports, music and travel. I enjoy reading a variety of books, ranging from historical biographies to fictional fantasy. As well as being a member of my school’s rugby team, I have also been a player in the Gosberton Poachers, a local hockey team and I am an active member of a successful ten pin bowling team. I enjoy traveling and have been to many different countries, including Spain, France and Greece, and I always make particular effort to learn as much of the local language as I can. At the moment I am learning Italian. Furthermore with an interest in music, I’m learning to play the guitar and in the past I have played tenor horn in a brass band and sung in various choirs.

I have an inquisitive mind, and am extremely interested in archaeology and will work hard to achieve my goals. The prospect of university life excites me and I know the opportunities presented to me and the experiences will be invaluable. University will help me further develop as a person, to become fully independent and fulfil my dreams.

Dear xxx,

Hello!

My name is xxxxxx, this yearxxxxxx, and I am a senior high school student fromxxxxxxprovincialxxxxxx senior middle school. Thank you for taking time out of your busyschedule to read my cover letter.

Your school has a long history, profound cultural heritage, rich teachingresources, and a good academic atmosphere. It has cultivated many outstandingtalents for the society, and many majors are among the best in China. Many of myelder brothers and sisters unanimously choose your school as their first choice.I am also eager to get the acceptance letter from your school next summer. Ihope to become a student of your school, hope to study in your school, andbecome a talent for society and the motherland, and hope to become a gloriousstudent of your school. Witness of history. I hope that this self-enrollmenttest can change my life track and put me in the arms of your school. I hope tobe accepted by your school.

I chose your school because I think your school focuses on both process andresults. I think I am personally suitable to receive education in yourschool.

I come from the high school science experiment class. In this class ofmaster Rulin, my academic performance always has the upper hand. This kind ofachievement makes me firmly rooted in the forefront of the school's academicperformance. In fact, my potential is still great, and my score still has roomfor appreciation. My in-depth analysis of the problem and my proficiency inknowledge are not fully reflected in my volume. Many times, my answer iscorrect, but the problem-solving process is not understood by the gradingteacher. Sometimes the process is clear, but the result is missed with thecorrect answer due to a small mistake.

I am quite proud of the results in the Olympiad. How to put it, the resultsare not the best, but they are enough to make me proud. When I was in the firstyear of high school, I participated in the chemistry competition and won thecity's third prize. At that time, I was just trying my skills for the firsttime. In the second year of high school, I opened a biology class. My interestin biology made me participate in the competition class without hesitation, anddevoted myself to the vast ocean of “biology”. In fact, it was only more thanten days away from the city competition and the provincial competition. Onlyhalf a month can be prepared. I was eager to finish a 600-page “Biology OlympiadTutorial” in less than ten days, and at the same time I did dozens of exercises. The effort paid off, I entered the provincial competition as the second in thexxxxxx city competition. In order to meet the provincial competition, I taughtmyself biology at the university and did the Olympiad test questions for nearlyfive years. I was busy late at night and rushed to the school library early inthe morning. At that time, the school was holding the Summer Games, athleteswere sweating like rain on the field, and I was sweating in the sultry room. Iwas well prepared, confident, and sure to win. I even praised Haikou: “Strivefor saving one, save two.” Now it seems that I was like a bow at that time, bothmentally and physically. Overfilled, days of exhaustion have crossed the cordonlike a flood. As a result, I did not bring my dreams into reality, and I missedthe second prize of the province by a two-point gap. I only won the third prizeof the province. At that time, I was very sad and sad for what I had given. Mymother advised me: “This process of hard work is a lot of wealth in life.” Itseems that even if it is the third prize of the province, it is not very good inthe independent enrollment. Does it make a big difference? Doesn't it also helpme move closer to my favorite university? I think the Olympiad is anunforgettable experience for me. It shows me that the process is as important asthe result.

I am a science major, and I am careful and well-founded in doing things. Inot only value IQ, but I also attach great importance to the development of EQwhile developing the brain's intellectual resources. I was a math classrepresentative when I was in the first year of high school. At that time, Ireceived and sent homework every day to help teachers complete teaching tasks. Iwas divided into classes in the second year of high school liberal arts andscience, and was elected by the students as the representative of the biologyclass. In addition to studying, I often help those students with weak biologyand explain their difficult problems. Therefore, I was welcomed by the studentsand was selected as the representative for many times. Three good students. Itake an active part in class activities, and have edited historical dramas“Tiger Symbol” and “Thunderstorm”, which were warmly praised by my classmates. In the debate contest organized by the school, I helped my class to win sixstraight games and hung the banner of “first place”.

My hobby of literature has broadened my horizons and broadened my thinking.I have published more than ten essays in provincial and municipal newspapers, and I have many articles on the xxx website. I think a big tree, no matter how bigit is, its roots are always deep in the ground. The roots of literature aredeeply rooted in our country's long traditional culture. I like “Journey to theWest”, especially “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms”, and I love “A Dream ofRed Mansions”. I love “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms” as much as it issimple and cool, and I love “A Dream of Red Mansions” as much as its gentleness. When I read that Zhuge Liang has fallen to the Five Battlefields, I alwayslament infinitely. Every time I read the scene before Lin Daiyu's death, thesentence “Baoyu, you -------” that tried my best, couldn't help but pick up thesentence “Baoyu, you are so cruel.” Then I felt heartache. I think, “The Romanceof the Three Kingdoms” taught me to look at problems with suspicion, and “Dreamof Red Mansions” taught me to solve problems with ideal eyes. I use traditionalclassics to build a unified bridge between ideal and reality.

In my opinion, high school students should develop all-round moral, intellectual, physical, and beautiful. What high school cultivates is not only“talents” with a large amount of knowledge reserves, but also “talents” who canfully utilize their knowledge reserves. “. The goal of my high school is notonly to be admitted to a prestigious university like yours, and to have a goodfood and clothing in the future. My high school goal is to become an all-roundhigh-quality talent with thought, morality, knowledge and skills. I want toimmerse myself in the modernization of the motherland like fire. I don't want tobecome a person who has an empty stomach and a lot of money, but has nothing todo and spends a lifetime. To me, your school is the Great Wall in my heart. Ithink that only by entering your school can you ”heroes have a place to do theirbest“. Looking forward to your recognition!

Yours sincerely,

xxx

Dear _,

”I have a lot of dreams.“

”If we dream, everything will be possible.“

In retrospect, I have much to be proud of. As a 10-year-old teenager, I was already obsessed of painting the concrete forms of my dreams with the brush in my hand. At such a young age, I had already learned the necessity to practice painting deep into the night in order to achieve constant improvement in the sophistication of my brushwork. My endowments and my dedication helped me secure three major prizes at international adolescent fine art competitions. My substantial progress in practicing fine art also opened the door to developing my perceptive horizon and to tapping my tremendous potential. As a result, I handled my studies with much facility, especially in mathematics for which I had a particular penchant. No matter how difficult the courses in my high school were, I could almost invariably achieve full marks in all of them. Apart from virtually perfect performance in the scholastic aptitudes at my school, I achieved remarkable scores in a variety of national contests for high school students in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Those distinguished achievements resulted in my being enrolled by Tsinghua University, exempted from entrance examination. In China, this could properly be deemed the highest honor that a high school student could possible attain.

”On the way to the realization of your dreams, there is no substitute for hard work“

”Teamwork fulfill your dreams easily“

Upon entering this most prestigious university in China, which is Tsinghua University, in my usual spirit of dedication and perseverance, I once again embarked on my journey of industrious study in the Department of Automation. My exceptionally solid foundation in mathematics provided me with a stepping stone with which I proceeded onto the exploration of other sophisticated and erudite subjects. As a freshman, I taught myself such mathematics courses as Real Analysis and Advanced Numerical Analysis that are only scheduled for senior students. My performance in all the specialty-related coursework not only enabled me to secure the second highest GPA ranking in my class but also furnished me with a powerful instrument whereby to materialize my dreams in the research and development of computer and network technology.

In the scorching summer of 1999, with an entrepreneurial passion that was much more vehement than the scorching sun, two classmates and I commenced to establish our own business and to operate our own company. By any imagination, it was a challenging undertaking. We focused on the development of online multimedia entertainment platform and on the research and development of virtual reality (VC) technology. In the process of developing the software for the VC products, we encountered the major obstacle of how to realize globular equation of the pictures actually taken of the real objects.

Under my organization and leadership, the task team, which consisted of a number of senior undergraduates and graduates, consulted a huge amount of technical literature, solicited professional guidance from specialists in the field, conducted surveys and interviews, analyzed feedbacks, and wrote business proposals. It was common for me to sleep only four hours a day. We worked under the conviction that, even if we failed 99 times, we would be ultimately victorious if we could succeed in the 100th trial. Any notion of defeatism would cause one to relinquish and end up in eternal failure.

Within two months, we eventually succeeded in developing the semispheric equation algorithm whose effect could perfectly parallel the globular equation algorithm of the software. In autumn, the season of harvest, we won the Prize for Excellent Original Conceptualization at the annual Entrepreneurial Competition with the business proposal based on this project. In the meantime, we succeeded in attracting a risk, investment worth 5 million RMB (approximately 600000 US dollars)。 The immediate infusion of the cash into our company guaranteed the overall inauguration of our company.

In the initial stage of establishing our business, we foresaw that the VC technology would make tremendous headway in the future network application. The problem we faced at that time was the limited bandwidth of the network, which in turn circumscribed the development of VC technology. After nearly one-year development, our technology has become increasingly mature. Furthermore, our collaboration with Britain's Rotography Company has acquainted us with some refreshingly constructive concepts. With the continued improvement of the China's domestic network environment, we have formally initiated serial services to our clients in the application of VC technology. In this process, our company's website for supplying technical service _ was consummated. So far, many manufacturers availed themselves of our VC solutions, including Beijing Garment Manufacturing Factory, the largest of its kind in Beijing. Meanwhile, I participated in a seminar on the development of network virtual passage ”_“ project jointly undertaken by Zhejiang University and NingPo Golden Leave Information Technology Company. By conducting a survey of U.S. _ market and by studying _ technology, I presented some unique insights of my own at the seminar, which were positively evaluated by computer specialists from Zhejiang University.

With our products started to increase the market share, the reputation of our company became increasingly widespread. As a burgeoning company, we managed, through fierce bidding, to secure a project of Demonstration System from Sony Company. Though finally the project did not take long to complete, the success of winning the first project through tender excited the whole group of young entrepreneurs. At present, in reaction to the strong demands for information concerning rubber market by more than 20000 manufacturers and related enterprises, our company is cooperating with Reuter Agency and Information Headquarter of China National Rubber Industry in developing and designing ”China Rubber Business Website“, which aims at providing the most updated global rubber information for domestic rubber manufacturers and ultimately realizing the B2B business platform for China's rubber industry. This is a newly-emerging field which integrates conventional industry with IT industry, thus requiring rich professional knowledge and experience in conventional sector as well as powerful and comprehensive analytical and problem-solving capability. Under such circumstances, I am forced to augment my knowledge in a totally strange profession within the shortest possible time. But I know that with, my usual confidence, I will surmount this challenge.

”If we can dream it, we can do it.“

”The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.\"

Now I have a dream to become a well-trained engineer so that I can enjoy myself in the field of technology application as well as in the field of theoretical research. Furthermore, I love the feeling of being challenged. Only by plunging oneself into a challenging environment will one be able to keep on scaling new heights. For me, this challenging environment that fascinates me most is Harvard University, the ideal university to undertake my Ph.D. program.

In my prospective degree program, I would like to concentrate on the following fields: (a) VLSI & Microelectronics; (b) Systems and Control; (c) Robotics and Computer Vision; (d) Communications & Signal Processing; (e) Operations Research & Systems.

I am convinced that the advanced training in your established graduate program will help develop me into a successful professional in my chosen field. In the highly challenging academic environment of Harvard, I will rely on two effective strategies that I have consistently employed in my heretofore studies and business operations: competition and cooperation. I can imagine that, with the international perspective and professional expertise developed at Harvard University, I will be best assisted in bringing my tremendous potential into full play in my future efforts to blaze new trails in the virtually unlimited future world.

Yours sincerely,
