1.“be from...”的意思是“来自…,从…来”,与“conte from”相同,例如:Bob is/comes from England.(鲍勃来自英格兰。)
2.“can't believe one's ears/eyes”和汉语中的“简直不能相信自己的耳朵/眼睛”意思和用法一致,表示对听到的或看到的非常惊讶,例如:I couldn't believe my ears when she told me the cheapest flight was $100.(当她告诉我最便宜的航班是100美元时,我简直不能相信自己的耳朵。)
3.“...I was brought up in Beijing”表示“我是在北京长大的”。“bring sb.up”表示“养育某人,把某人抚养成人”。另外,“bring
