Then said Saint Peter, “By no means, thou art just as dear to us as any one else, and wilt enjoy every heavenly delight that the rich man enjoys, but poor fellows like thee come to heaven every day, but a rich man like this does not come more than once in a hundred years!”

The peasant had one day been working in his field, and as twilight had set in, was making ready for the journey home, when he saw a heap of burning coals in the middle of his field, and when, full of astonishment, he went up to it, a little black devil was sitting on the live coals. “Thou dost indeed sit upon a treasure!” said the peasant. “Yes, in truth,” replied the Devil, “on a treasure which contains more gold and silver than thou hast ever seen in thy life!” - “The treasure lies in my field and belongs to me,” said the peasant. “It is thine,” answered the Devil, “if thou wilt for two years give me the half of everything thy field produces. What grows above ground shall be thine, and what is under it, mine.” - “I am willing,” replied the peasant; but when the time came to sow, he did not again sow turnips, but wheat. The grain became ripe, and the peasant went into the field and cut the full stalks down to the ground. When the Devil came, he found nothing but the stubble, and went away in a fury down into a cleft in the rocks. “That is the way to cheat the Devil,” said the peasant, and went and fetched away the treasure.

1.童话故事的概念

童话故事是儿童文学的一种,在现实生活的基础上,用适合儿童口吻的语言,说给(写给)儿童听的(看的)一种富于幻想的故事。通过丰富的想象、幻想和夸张来塑造形象、反映生活,对儿童进行思想教育。通过童话故事给幼儿讲道理,传授知识,会使他们觉得形象新鲜有趣,易于理解和接受。如“正义打败邪恶”这个抽象道理,如果只是单纯地口头讲解,幼儿难于理解,但给幼儿讲《小羊和狼》的童话故事,幼儿就能具体理解这个道理。这就是童话的力量,它把严肃的思想,是非分明的观念,强烈的爱憎感情寓于生动的故事和幽默的语言中,让幼儿在不知不觉中接受教育。

2.童话故事的特点

童话的情节适合儿童的想象,有生活的情趣,给我们创造了一个绚丽多彩的童话世界。主要有三大特点:(1)形象鲜明,幻想奇特。我们看《白雪公主》的故事,灰姑娘受到虐待;得到仙子的帮助;与王子相会最终得到美好的婚姻。童话的主人公往往都是善良的人物,而他们的对手则是邪恶的化身。主人公往往需要通过艰苦的历程,完成艰巨的任务,才能得到圆满的结局。(2)词藻简洁,形式多样。从语言风格上来讲,童话的语言要求简洁活泼、准确朴素,多用似人、对照、反复等表现方法。如《渔夫和金鱼的故事》中,渔夫和贪婪凶残的老太婆构成鲜明的对比,一些情节、景物的反复叙述,形成了有节奏的反复。这们的语言突出了人物的性格特点,语言丰富有趣。(3)夸张强烈、情节曲折。《神笔马良》、《小木偶奇遇记》等故事都符合儿童的幻想心理。童话离不开幻想、幻想离不开夸张,童话的话言如果缺少夸张,就会缺乏感受染力。如《皇帝的新装》里的那个自以为赤裸裸的皇帝,就是因为现实中就有这种骗子,利用一些人的虚伪、愚昧,导演了一幕幕荒诞的剧目。所以这种幻想源于现实又高于现实,激起幼儿的好奇心。

二、早期阅读童话故事对幼儿发展的教育价值

早期阅读并不在于单纯发展幼儿的阅读能力,还要让孩子通过各种途径,形成看、听、读一整套的养成性教育。所以早期阅读童话故事对幼儿的语言表达能力、想象力、身心发展等方面起着重要的作用,成功的早期阅读教育能为幼儿今后的学习打下良好的基础。

1.提升幼儿的语言表达能力

学龄前幼儿正处于语言发展的关键期,而早期阅读是他们语言发展关键期的有效刺激物,有益于幼儿语言的发展。借助童话故事是促进幼儿学习形象化语言的有效方式。如《卖火柴的小女孩》中有这样的语句“啊!屋里那棵圣诞树多漂亮啊,一位母亲正和两个孩子在玩耍,那孩子该多幸福啊,桌子上还点着许多彩色的蜡烛,有红的、黄的、绿的、白的,她最喜欢那些红色的蜡烛,在桌上格外显眼。”对于处在早期发展中的幼儿来说,这种清楚、准确又形象化的语言符合他们的认知思维特点,对他们有极大的魅力。另外,童话故事短小精悍、流畅上口,是适合幼儿反复吟诵的好资料。幼儿在倾听故事时,会获得一种满足的愉悦感,如果我们静下心来听幼儿之间的谈话会惊讶地发现,他们经常会很形象地模仿和描述童话故事中的人物和语言。通过阅读活动,能有效地帮助幼儿从口头语言向形象化语言的过渡,提高幼儿语言表达和概括能力。

3.增强幼儿的阅读和理解能力

童话作品的故事性很强,通常具有浓郁的传奇色彩,使幼儿在虚拟的时空中漫游。这就要求故事衔接紧内容密,情节跌宕有致,给幼儿的心灵以触动,产生心理上的共鸣。如《蓝胡子的故事》中“蓝胡子”这个男性的面部特征贯穿整个故事的始终,幼儿从自己的爸爸爷爷那里了解到普通男性的胡子是黑色或白色的,故事中的蓝色胡子便激起幼儿的好奇心和想象力。语言色彩是认知对象重要的外部特征,具有较强的突显性,幼儿借助于色彩可以对认知对象产生强烈的直观感受。基于幼儿的经验,长着蓝色的胡子的人可能是个怪人或坏人,他们便试图揣测“蓝胡子”富人的性格和行为。带着这样的任务阅读,幼儿在波波相连的童话中寻找答案,验证自己的假设,同时提高了幼儿对童话故事的分析、理解和领悟能力,促使形象逻辑思维的形成。

从前有个村子,那里的人都很富裕,只有一个人穷得连条牛都没有,更说不上有钱买了,大家叫他“小农夫”。他和妻子都很想有头自家的牛,于是有一天他对妻子说:“我有个好主意。多嘴的木匠说他愿意给我们做个和真牛一模一样的小木牛,然后漆成棕色,慢慢地就会变成真正的牛了。”妇人觉得这主意挺不错,于是木匠又是砍又是刨,终于做出了一头正在低头吃草的木牛犊,然后刷上油漆。

第二天一早,牧牛人正赶着牛群要出村,小农夫把他拉进屋说:“你瞧,我有头小牛,还不能自己走,你得抱着它走才行。”牧人于是把小木牛抱到牧场,把它放在草地中央。小木牛总是那么埋头吃草的样子,牧人说:“瞧它那副埋头吃草的劲头,用不了多久就会自己跑了。”

晚上,牧人打算赶着牛群回村。他对小木牛说:“既然你能吃就吃个够吧。等你吃饱了准能自己回村的。我可不想再抱着你走了。”可是小农夫站在门口等着,看到牧牛人赶着牛进了村,没见到小木牛,就问牧人小牛在哪儿。“还在牧场吃草呢。它不肯跟我回来。”小农夫说:“我一定得把小牛找回来。”

他们一起来到牧场,没见到牛犊,也不知道什么人把它偷走了。牧人说:“准是它自己跑了。”小农夫说:“别跟我来这一套。”拉着牧人就找镇长评理去了。镇长判牧人粗心,罚他赔一头小牛给农夫。

就这样,小农夫和妻子有了一头自家的牛。他们打心眼里为这盼望已久的事情感到高兴。可是他们太穷了,没东西喂给它吃,所以没过多久就只得把牛杀了。他们将牛肉腌制起来,把牛皮扒了下来,打算卖掉之后再买头小牛回来。他路过一家磨坊,看到一只折断了翅膀的乌鸦。他同情地把它捡了起来,用牛皮裹好。这时天上突然下起了暴雨,他不得不到磨坊躲雨。磨坊主的妻子独自在家,她对小农夫说:“躺在那边的草垛上吧。”又给了他一片面包和一小块干酪。农夫吃完就把牛皮放在身边,自己在草垛上躺下了。磨坊主的妻子以为他累了在那儿睡熟了。这时,教区牧师来了,磨坊主的妻子热情地接待他,说:“我丈夫不在家,我们可以好好吃一顿了。”小农夫听到他们大谈美食,又想到自己只吃了一块面包和一点干酪,心里很不痛快。只见妇人端出四种不同的美食来:烤肉、沙拉、蛋糕和酒。

He was forced, however, to promise not to beat his wife any more, but to live with her in peace, and share joy and sorrow with her, as married people ought to do. All went on well for a time, but then he fell into his old ways, and was surly and quarrelsome. And because he dared not beat her, he would seize her by the hair and tear it out. The woman escaped from him, and sprang out into the yard, but he ran after her with his yard-measure and scissors, and chased her about, and threw the yard-measure and scissors at her, and whatever else came his way. When he hit her he laughed, and when he missed her, he stormed and swore. This went on so long that the neighbors came to the wife's assistance. The tailor was again summoned before the magistrates, and reminded of his promise. “Dear gentlemen,” said he, “I have kept my word, I have not beaten her, but have shared joy and sorrow with her.” - “How can that be,” said the judge, “when she continually brings such heavy complaints against you?” - “I have not beaten her, but just because she looked so strange I wanted to comb her hair with my hand; she, however, got away from me, and left me quite spitefully. Then I hurried after her, and in order to bring her back to her duty, I threw at her as a well-meant admonition whatever came readily to hand. I have shared joy and sorrow with her also, for whenever I hit her I was full of joy, and she of sorrow, and if I missed her, then she was joyful, and I sorry.” The judges were not satisfied with this answer, but gave him the reward he deserved.

So the rich man was obliged to put his brother's turnip in a cart and have it taken to his home. When there he did not know on whom to vent his rage and anger, until bad thoughts came to him, and he resolved to kill his brother. He hired murderers, who were to lie in ambush, and then he went to his brother and said, “Dear brother, I know of a hidden treasure, we will dig it up together, and divide it between us.” The other agreed to this, and accompanied him without suspicion. While they were on their way, however, the murderers fell on him, bound him, and would have hanged him to a tree. But just as they were doing this, loud singing and the sound of a horse's feet were heard in the distance. On this their hearts were filled with terror, and they pushed their prisoner head first into the sack, hung it on a branch, and took to flight. He, however, worked up there until he had made a hole in the sack through which he could put his head. The man who was coming by was no other than a travelling student, a young fellow who rode on his way through the wood joyously singing his song. When he who was aloft saw that someone was passing below him, he cried, “Good day! You have come at a lucky time.” The student looked round on every side, but did not know whence the voice came. May not I also enter the sack for a while?” He who was above replied as if unwillingly, “For a short time I will let you get into it, if you reward me and give me good words; but you must wait an hour longer, for one thing remains which I must learn before I do it.” When the student had waited a while he became impatient, and begged to be allowed to get in at once, his thirst for knowledge was so very great. So he who was above pretended at last to yield, and said, “In order that I may come forth from the house of knowledge you must let it down by the rope, and then you shall enter it.” So the student let the sack down, untied it, and set him free, and then cried, “Now draw me up at once,” and was about to get into the sack. “Halt!” said the other, “that won't do,” and took him by the head and put him upside down into the sack, fastened it, and drew the disciple of wisdom up the tree by the rope. Then he swung him in the air and said, “How goes it with thee, my dear fellow? Behold, already thou feelest wisdom coming, and art gaining valuable experience.
