人物专访属于记叙文范围，是一种类似小报告文学的新闻形式。
近几年来，报刊上经常刊登这类文章，很受读者的喜爱，不但记者写，中学生文学爱好者也常把写人物专访作为社会实践和练笔的机会。
那么，怎样写好人物专访呢?
第一，在确定专访对象时，必须熟悉访问对象的大体经历和主要成就。
这样，交谈时也就有了话题，便于提出问题，写作时也有助于文章的充实。
例如，有一篇题为《漳州飞来的小鸟——记八次叩响获奖大门的胡晓梦》的专访，作者在采访之前，仔细了解了胡晓梦同学是如何攀登文学殿堂的(从十四岁到十六岁，八次叩响获奖大门)，并且认真阅读了胡晓梦的作品，于是，作者满怀澡情地写道：
“果然不负众望。

这段文字，不仅使这篇专访的内容更加丰富、充实，而且也使读者对晓梦的作品有了概貌的了解。
第二，要善于发掘专访对象生活中的有趣的故事或独特的兴趣爱好，以便从多方面展现人物丰富的精神面貌和内心世界。
例如，山西省平陆县西街中学初一学生程若明发明了“多面黑板”和“果核刀”，荣获科技发明三等奖，被人们誉为“小小发明家”。
《中国少年报》的记者在访问他的时候，兴致勃勃地追踪他的发明之路，从程若明同学决心为山区的老师减轻负担(一位老师要在同一间教室里，给两三个年级上课。
第三，要注意突出重点，勾画出访问对象的举止、神态和性格特点。
前些时候，《中国青年报》“人物剪影”专栏里有一篇《文坛一怪》的文章，文中写道：

真实是新闻的生命，人物专访，内容一定要真实，引述采访对象对某一问题的看法，必须是原意，作者不能随意改动或发挥，无根据的拔高和添枝加叶是不允许的。
