鲁迅先生说过：“我们自古以来，就有埋头苦干的人，有为民请命的人……”。祖国的儿女在黑暗中摸索、在痛苦中企盼、在屈辱中抗争。虎门销烟、太平天国、义和团起义… …无不表现了祖国儿女寻求解放与和平的坚强意志。五四运动，抗日战争、解放战争、直到中华人民共和国的成立，祖**亲踏上了新的征程！

不久，祖**亲就71岁了。

同学们，71年，弹指一挥间，旧中国的千疮百孔，民不聊生已成过去。今天，我们的经济高速发展；我们的科技硕果累累；我们的教育日新月异；我们的体育突飞猛进；我们的综合国力日益增强……这些都在向世人昭示：我们的祖国是腾飞的蛟龙！我们的祖国是屹立的巨人！

走过71个春秋，追忆烽火岁月。我们有过苦难，我们经历过磨砺，我们有过苦涩的追求，我们都挺过了，祖国的脊梁坚强了；我们有过梦想，我们有过豪情壮志，我们也有过无数快乐和喜悦，我们都拥有过，我们都经历了。我们为有一个不畏艰难、勇往直前的民族而自豪，我们为祖国有一个坚强的脊梁而骄傲。有人说，一个人如果没有脊梁，就不会站立行走；一个国家如果失去了脊梁，则只能屈服在别人的脚下，匍匐前行。是的，有了坚强脊梁的国家，才会有克服困难、自强不息的动力，才会有不被任何困难所吓倒的勇气。

走过的日月，是祖国经受磨砺的日子。雪灾、5・12汶川大地震……一次次天灾人祸接踵而来，祖国在忍受着痛苦，也在为那些离去的儿女们流泪、心痛。可祖国依然挺立着，一个有着五千年文明史的中国依然屹立在世界的东方！灾害灾难，可以移山填海，堵塞河流，可以摧毁我们美好的家园，可以让我们失去善良的亲人。但是，动摇不了我们的意志，压不垮祖国的脊梁，祖国依然坚强！

同学们，昨天是一页翻过的历史；今天是一个崭新的起点；明天是一幅宏伟的蓝图。“中华儿女多奇志、敢叫日月换新天”。我们应该有“为中华之崛起而学习”的宏伟抱负，应该有为祖国富强而献身的远大志向，用我们全部的聪明才智和生命热血来建设我们的祖国！
