I live in a city which is filled up with noise.The noise follows you to every place you go,and it seems that there is nowhere to escape that.Every day in the early morning my sweet dreams are ended with the terrible noise rising up in the street.Also in the noon,when the traffic is heavy,you can not bear even one minute in that nosie.What's wores?In the evening when I want to review my lessons,I can't find a place free from noise even in my own room!

So I appreaciate it that the local government will take some meassures on the nosie in the city.

life gets noisier every day and very few people can be free from noise:of some sort or another.

It doesn't matter where you live in the middle of a modern city, or a faraway village the chances are that you'll be disturbed by jet airplanes, transistor radios, oil-powered engines, etc. We seem to be getting used to noise, too.

Some people feel quite lonely without background music while they're working. Scientific tests have shown that total silence can be a very frightening experience for a human being. However, some people enjoy listening to pop music which is very loud, and this can do harm to their eardrums.

The noise level in some discos is far above the usual safety level for heavy industrial areas.

One recent report about noise and concentration suggested that although lots of people say that noise disturbs their concentration, what really influences their ability to concerttrate is a change in the level of noise. It goes on to say that a background noise which doesn't change too much (music, for example) may even help people to concentrate.

Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption,cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are very harmful, causing disease and even death. Last winter, car fumes formed heavy smog over Beijing, making the sky gloomy for weeks and deteriorating people's health.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. In Tsinghua University, campus buses are driven by electricity. In Beijing some of the public buses begin to run on natural gas, which does not give off as much carbon dioxide as the petrol. But it may take decades for the new models of clean cars to completely replace the traditional ones.

Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. If the price of petrol rises constantly and the public vehicles are efficient and convenient enough, most people will not private cars. And the total number of cars in big cities will reduce greatly.

On the whole, the elimination of air pollution needs the co-efforts from the government, the public and the environments. This problem will be solved only with the help of science and technology.

My memory though my hometown is a small village it is very beautiful.

When I was small I liked to caught fish in the river the water was so clean that I could see the fish. As I miss my hometown so much last week I went back to my hometown I found the place in my memory was not like what it was. The trees were not that numerous the roads became bigger while there was less place for the river I saw some dead fish in the river the water was dirty the river pollution was so serious! I couldn’t believe it the beautiful hometown was destroyed by the pollution it is people’s ambition results in it they chase for the profit at the cost of polluting the environment.

I wish people can pay attention to protect the environment they are saving themselves too.
